Ravenshead Ready Call is a Good Neighbour scheme which tries to provide the sort of service which a kind neighbour might offer, to anyone living in Ravenshead.
When problems arise and neighbours and relatives are unable to help, Ravenshead Ready Call will try to provide a volunteer to offer assistance.
We will try to provide practical help with:
- Shopping
- Fetching prescriptions
- Transport for those unable to use public transport
The Ravenshead Ready Call service is financed entirely by donations and fundraising. Our volunteers give their time freely however, they are able to claim a vehicle costs allowance of 45p per mile for Ready Call journeys. All donations will be gratefully received to ensure that Ready Call continues to serve our community well into the future. Confidentiality is respected.

Ravenshead Ready Call is delighted to have played its part in serving the community of Ravenshead for more than 20 years, causing the Village to be known as a place where we look after one another. Our wonderful team of volunteers have earned us the reputation of being reliable, caring, and cheerful, in fact very happy to help! Many times it has been said, “I don’t know what I’d have done without you!” Our plan is to continue helping way into the future.
